The varied amount of stuff I’ve casually accumulated is finally being devoured.

I’m in the unfortunate position of having a large and carefully curated to-read pile calling out to me - from a bunch of cartons stored in a different part of the country.
Ah well, that’s why they invented kindle.

Ouch, hope you get reunited soon. Thankfully there are a lot of ebooks available. Rebuying a second format of something you already own is never fun though.
Curated is certainly not a term that applies to what is piled up at the moment here. Might rethink that in the future with a nicely matched set potentially dis proving what I typed above about books already owned.

I’ve finished one book and just started another. I have 3 or 4 more to hold me over for a bit until outside activity becomes tolerable (rural Ontario, Canada so I’ll be damned if this keeps me in the house all the time).

Rural Ontario, you say?

Yup, I’m a farmer about an hour north of Brampton. N ot super out- there but far enough that most people won’t know my hometown when they ask me where I’m from.

Ah, that’s not so bad. I was thinking more Elliot Lake rural. :P
I've got family out that way. Orangeville, and a few other places.

Yeah it’s not bad at all, I can get to Toronto in 1h15 min now with all the roads being empty. :)
I know Orangeville well, I worked at the ski hill for one winter in h igh s chool and do most non-grocery shopping there.

So about 5 hours under normal traffic then, eh? :P
I remember driving from Sudbury to Barrie one time - which happened
to coincide with the end of cottage season. It took us an extra three and a half hours - not because of construction, or accidents or anything - just the sheer volume of people heading home from the cottage that Sunday evening.

Normal is ~1.5hrs at least, depending on how much the lakeshore, gardiner, 427 and 401 decide to screw me. I commuted from here to Brampton for a few months and I would only just catch the start of traffic before I got off the 410 in the morning. I’m so glad I rarely have to experience traffic of any sort anymore.
